This is one of the articles that I recently wrote for my internship at Hamptons.com. I had the opportunity to interview the lead singer and trumpet player with the funny hat, KC O’Rorke. He was so much fun to talk to, and I know that this band is going to be fantastic live. Their New Orleans vibe, and enthusiastic performance is sure to ignite a frenzy.

Believe it or not, I promise that I am alive and actually better than ever.
My summer began with a bang this year. A very incredible and stunning kick off.
The day I moved home from college, I was scheduled to have a phone interview with a publication that I had applied to, actually, rather haphazardly. I felt that it was a bit of a long shot but in my head I went well hey, why not? I had no other really concrete plans for the summer, unless you count casual dates with my friends. I had been hoping that something would come along. And it did!
The day I moved home from college I found out that I would be moving to New York for the summer, the Hamptons to be exact, and work as an editorial intern for Hamptons.com. This opportunity not only giving me the chance to write, learn so many new things, meet some amazing people and live in my birthplace once again, but it is also allowing me to spend the summer living with my nana.
I moved out a week after I moved home. Preparing for that was a crazy hectic time. Trying to see everyone before I left and spend as much time with my family… realizing that I wouldn’t be home for all the big events of the summer like fair, and to spend time with my pets, ride my horse, go to my fair for the twelfth year in a row, those were all pretty hard things to accept, no matter the opportunity that I had been given.
But, I packed up my car, and headed East.
With my sister, mom and me all scrunched in to my little care, packed to the gills with some of my belongings, we headed out.
It has been almost a month now since I have been here. I have had so many adventures already, learned a great deal about myself, people in general, and about the world. I am writing like a maniac covering events, and working my internship along with a part time job.
It has been crazy but, for the most part, I am loving any minute of it.
So watch out New York… Devon Aragona is here and she likes it. She might even decide she loves it. We’ll see what happens next.
